#992 Hurricane Day 2.

Today we got the actual brunt of the storm, though it wasn’t severe at all, just rain and strong winds that made the air feel cooler.

I spent a few minutes sitting on the sofa watching the weather. The house was silent inside and the wind made a haunting “hoooooooo” whipping around the corners of the house and down the chimney. It was a singularly comforting feeling that few experiences give.

  1. I hope y'all stay safe! We lived in Savannah for 13 years (my husband is a SCAD grad), and had to evacuate for a hurricane only once — but it was when our son was 2 weeks old! (I'm a new reader here from Hooked on Houses.)

  2. Hi Megan! I'm excited to see a new reader! 🙂 We're safe and sound. I think it's passed over us completely just about… Thanks so much for the hello!

  3. I just found your blog a couple of days ago and have been sneaking time here and there to read through all of your posts (haven't got all of them yet). I have to compliment you on your wonderful and inspiring blog. I can feel the love you have for your husband, families and the Lord shining through! It must be hard to post every day, but what a treasure you will have to look back on. I will be checking in for sure!

  4. Well thank you so much for your sweet words, Sharon! I hope it can be a sunshiny corner of the internet with so much negativity in the world. 🙂
