#684 Paint Progress.

We made a BIG jump in painting progress tonight!

But first, I fell asleep on the porch swing for a minute this afternoon because the cloudy breeze was too much to bear. I woke up being eaten alive by mosquitoes.

Then company came to help:

Entry finished. The color is Java by Eddie Bauer. It’s grey/brown.

The living room in progress:

Now the first coat is finished, and we’ll do another coat soon at which point I’ll post a photo for y’all. Again, we used Dover White from Sherwin Williams. Hopefully, the inside of our house will feel something like this when we are finished.

One little tip for those of you who are into DIY painting like us—use Lowe’s brand Valspar Signature Colors paint for the best quality.
It’s a little more expensive at $34 per gallon, but the coverage is awesome. Also, Lowe’s has color codes for all Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams colors so you get exactly the color you want, which is nice.
Also, here’s a better photo of the dining room in the daylight with our chairs painted just right:

  1. The dining table is UNbelievable-truly a one-of-a-kind custom piece. I think my favorite choice (so far) is the color choice you made for your entry hall-it looks like it would be warm and welcoming coming in from the cold but also cool and inviting in the warmer months-perfect! Can't wait to see whats next! – Jimmy B.
