#631 Dinner table. Finished.

Look what Ben finished up today!

We’ve been waiting on the hardware for several days now, and I’m so glad we did. I almost used some that were okay—but they were twice as expensive as these and not nearly as effective for the look of it. We used wood from my daddy’s junk stash (deck boards and front porch columns), and only had to buy varnish, glaze, paint, 2 boards for the drawer fronts, and the brass hardware.

To test its strength, I stood up in the middle of the table and bounced a little. It didn’t budge.
Who wants to help us move?

  1. Beautiful table and beautiful blog Erin! Thank you for linking to Build.com, we appreciate it and the fact that the pulls were worth the wait. I think you did a great job of matching forma and function while saving time and money by not making real drawers.

  2. thanks, mario! we'll be back to buy lots of things for our new house in the next couple of months. we're super impressed with build.com!

    Thank you,
