#62 Girl trip. Shopping spree.

Mama and I headed out bright and early for a day trip to Jackson. She had an appointment there in the afternoon, but we spent the morning browsing Miskelly Furniture. Mind boggling. This furniture mega store has a carousel, daycare, indoor basketball court for the reluctant husbands, and a restaurant too. We went in with every intention of finding the perfect couch for their living room. Perhaps something a little like this:
(The Buchanan Apartment Sofa from Pottery Barn)

Unfortunately (and shockingly) we couldn’t find THE sofa she was hoping for, but we did find a piece of furniture I simply could not live without. I can’t spoil it yet since we’re picking it up in the morning, but suffice it to say I’ve never spent this much money on anything in my life (except our car, but that was a necessity). I’ll reveal it in tomorrow’s blog entry!

After our furniture shopping extravaganza, we had lunch at the Jackson staple Primo’s then headed to Anthropologie where we swooned over really, truly, every single thing in the store. For obvious reasons (read: furniture spending spree), I didn’t purchase anything but my sweet mama was kind enough to buy me these really nifty little ceramic trivet/spoon rest/coasters that were in the sale bin:
(We got 2 of them for just $1.95 each!)

After Anthro we moved on across the way to J.Crew where I couldn’t control myself and ordered this vintage-ish swimsuit in both eucalyptus green and black. How can I know which color will look best if I don’t try them on? I’ll return one of them for sure. They should be arriving in a few days:

Here are a few details from today that I especially loved:
(I did not purchase this piece, but it’s actually exactly the style and colors we’re hoping for on the wrap station/desk that’s being built from reclaimed wood)

(the floors in Anthropologie. Love.)

(Anthropologie pillow)

We’re hoping to make this a monthly thing. I think that’s a good idea. 🙂
