With that pumpkin puree from last night, I used Paula Deen’s Pumpkin Pie recipe to make this:
I told you I was doing it. Done! And it really doesn’t smell at all like those cinnamon pumpkin candles and bubble baths I’ve loved my whole life. Somehow I’ve never seen or eaten a pumpkin pie in all my days, so this was a fabulous learning experience.
Also, since I’m apparently on a serious magazine Halloween crafty-kick, we made this spooky house pumpkin from Country Living:
And let it be said that today was perfect Beetle bopping weather. I ran errands in Lucky with the top down, and it was… refreshing. Sparkling? I dunno. It was just really stinking awesome.
