#2,518 New York.

We’re spending a few days in the Big Apple working on some Bank of American promotions and it never fails to make my heart beat out of my chest to see the skyline from a bird’s eye view.

We relish our trips to NYC and daydream about them for months in advance and I’m always afraid I’m not going to be able to soak up every little bit of the adventure and food that I want to in the precious few days we have.

We started this trip with a long walk from midtown to Greenwich Village, making a quick stop at Bryant Park where we’ve always bought a Christmas ornament to take home each year. I completely forgot the winter park is sponsored by BoA, and it was a sorta surreal feeling to think we are associated with them the way we are now.

We finally arrived at Minetta Tavern, a restaurant that we fell in love with in 2014 on our trip with Jim and Mallorie and never got over (CLAUDE have MERCY that Minetta burger!). Our server tonight was just as warm and funny as Peter and Henry from our last visit which speaks highly of the leadership there who teach their folks to be friendly, not snooty. Which us country folks appreciate.

And we even found Henry again and thanked him for being so kind to us on our last trip. It’s good to see familiar faces when you’re far away from home.

And just in case my Aunt Mae Mae is reading, we were sure to get a picture of the super moon looking super cool in Washington Square!
