#2,196 Country Drive (for Tires).

So Ben found out about this guy who lives waaaaaay out in the country near his parents’ farm who sells the kind of tires we need for the Tahoe for a lot less than it costs from a store or catalog. It was only a 20 minute drive from their house, but we went into some of the most beautiful parts of Tippah County, up small mountains that felt more like Tennessee than Mississippi.

Incidentally, I only managed to get this one picture of what looks totally un-mountainous. Typical.

We’ll be driving home through really severe weather in the morning, so I’m incredibly thankful we will have our slick tires replaced before we head out. I hope all of our Texas friends made it safely through the storms this week!

  1. I worked in Tippah County for 6 years at the Ripley newspaper my uncle owned. Prior to that I dated a girl who attended Blue Mountain College in Tippah County. (She eventually became my wife, and has been for 43 years.) But, there are beautiful, hilly parts of the county and lots of history up there.
