There’s a lot I love about a cold, rainy day. The best thing about this particular one was the way, after a week of early summer-ish weather, I woke up and walked outside and the air felt so good and clean when I breathed it in. Like peppermint for your lungs. I woke up to find I was out of all my favorite cereals so we got dressed and walked to the grocery. It felt amazing. And the leaves just start showing out in Mississippi when Christmastime is almost here. We get a true fall this time of year when everyone else is already getting snow.
And I don’t want to brag or anything, but a certain adorable 2 year old came to see me at the shop today. He already knows his alphabet! And the way he coos our names when he sees us makes me melt. “Ah-nnie. Biiiig.” Did you know I’m Annie to Walker and Lucy? Aunt. E. Get it? But real talk, I just think the name Annie is great and wish mama had named me that. So I’m making the rules as a grown up. I AM ANNIE. Sometimes.
We took all the packages to the post office today and it filled up the back of the truck and one of the big dollies on the loading dock. We did it! They’re on their way to you!
Now, can you do something for me? Josh lost his sweet mama to Alzheimer’s today and I know his family would appreciate your prayers. The wonderful news in this is that she’s well again and is celebrating a good life lived in heaven now. Please keep our friends in your thoughts if you would?
