#2,130 Chef Aftermath.

The movie Chef flung some intense cravings on me yesterday. While I couldn’t get beignets today, we did go to Cafe La Fleur for lunch and as promised, even though it’s no longer on the menu, Matt made me the FINEST Cuban panini he’s ever made. Or maybe it’s that it’s been over a year since I tasted it, all slathered and grilled in butter with a satisfying soft crunch, tart pickles and mustard and melty cheese. I’ll take this sandwich as proof that God loves us.

And yeah. Maybe I bought the soundtrack, too.

So what?

P.S.
My precious little friend Meg is in kindergarten and a HUGE Fixer Upper fan. This week a boy at school was very mean to her and hurt her feelings so badly in front of the class, and I know exactly how that feels. I told Chip and Jo, and they knew just how to fix it. Now who’s the cool kid in class?

  1. How very sweet of them for having done that for Meg. It always breaks my heart a little when I hear kids (or anyone really) being mean to each other. I had two "friends" (ha!) when I was in grade school who would intentionally leave me out. What a horrible feeling that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Give Meg a hug from me please.
