#2,046 The Last Gilmore Girls.

Tonight we watched the Gilmore Girls finale. I looked forward to it all day, but I was also dreading it because that means it’s the end of one of my favorite routines with Ben that we’ve shared for 154 nights, together on the sofa right at bedtime. It’s the only time we turned on our TV for the better part of the last year.

What is it about a really good TV drama that gets you hooked and then you miss those people when it’s over, the same way you miss the characters when you finish a great book?

If you haven’t watched it, you owe it to yourself. It’s like a Mitford book at bedtime, sweet and easy to drift off to sleep after, to dreams of small towns and close friends. And if you’re lucky enough, you just might get to live in a small town that makes you feel that very same way in real life every day.

P.S.
Reluctantly, and only finally at the bitter end… #TeamLogan.

  1. I loved this show. I finished watching about 6 months ago and cried like a baby at the end. It was so hard to let them go. Last night I was looking for something to watch and thought I would just watch the pilot episode again. 3 episodes later I know I am in it for the duration.

  2. I love this shoe and come fall will start all over again! Have you seen "Parenthood?" Another great show with great characters!

  3. I felt the same way about Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad…Both of which I've started re-watching. I just have netflix and amazon instant so now I can't watch "regular" tv because the commercials drive me insane.

  4. I just recently watched all of Gilmore Girls and I loved it so much. The theme song is a form of torture is when you're binge watching though.

P.S. I always liked Logan the most of her guys except when he'd give her that condescending smile.

P.P.S. Parenthood is sad, the ending was devastating and it was 100% worth it.
