#1,913 First Yard Cutting of 2015.

Since it’s caftan weather that also means it’s time to get back to doing yard work, which resulted in a major spring cleaning at our house today.

Ben did all the weedeating, grass cutting and leaf blowing while I cleaned house inside and made a grocery run. I’m excited to get back into this particular warm weather routine because it always makes me feel really proud to be a homeowner and have that privilege. How lame is that?
I haven’t been sick with one of my weird stomach/appendix attacks in over a year and I can’t overstate how thankful I am for that surgery last March. God has been so very good to me.

  1. I've got the same tendency once that sun breaks through for the first time around here. We've only got a small terrace, but the ritual consists of cleaning up the dead ones (for some reason I don't have any green thumbs, but I keep on trying as it's too much fun to see them standing there), jostling everything around and then filling up the empty spaces with newcomers. Great fun.
Also: thank God for doctors who know what they're doing, right?

  2. This past week in Chicago, the weather has been beautiful. I really start to get antsy to do gardening. And yes, we are blessed to have home to take care of. God is certainly good. I LOVE your house-inside and out. I especially love the front porch. Hope all is well with your grandmother. She is so blessed to have all of you. Take care and enjoy the coming of Spring!
