#1,713 Skype 2 + Signage!

So this afternoon, we had another Skype interview with Jenna and Paul, the amazing and kind TV programming folks, that lasted 2 hours. 2 hours! It was just as much fun as the last one, even with killer head colds. We spent an inordinate amount of time doing Skype tests that looked like this:

It’s blowing my mind every time we “visit” with video chat how the internet makes the world so very small. I mean, you’re reading this—whoever and wherever you are, dear reader. Isn’t that kind of amazing?

In other news, I designed brand new gold leaf window signage for the shop that came in this afternoon and Ben tediously spent a couple hours installing this evening. I nearly died it was so exciting to finally see the name of our little business on a sign. I’ve been doing this since 2008 and this is our very first actual signage! So thankful for the Laurel Main Street facade grant that’s going to be paying for part of it along with some new paint and light fixtures soon. Woohoo!

  1. Congratulations on the beautiful door signs! What a wonderful gateway into your world. And I agree with a previous poster: enjoy the spotlight with the TV producers but dont ever change!

    • I have a good feeling that nothing will happen, but if it were (in our wildest dreams!) we wouldn't change a thing. Promise.

  2. It's beautiful! Made in Mississippi…sold around the world makes my heart sing! Laurel is so lucky to have you!

  3. What a lovely door sign! An absolutely beautiful way to greet your guests!

Enjoy every minute of this exciting time. What an adventure you are on! 🙂

  5. Seems like just yesterday I read a post that talked about your business being very slow and you realizing you weren't advertising on a certain website. My, how things have changed!! 🙂

  6. The new signage is just simply so lovely and also such a perfect fit to your so lovely and inspiring blog! I look forward to your blog every single day!!! Thanks for being such a gem!

  7. Your new logo looks just like a book cover I have seen called Somerset by Leila Meacham. Interesting!

    • Yes! Some of the flourishes are the same as seen on that book jacket. You have a good eye! Is that a good book? Looks like I would probably like it. Ha!
