#1,629 Family Reunion Part 2, 2014.

The second half of family reunion was today, which means weird pictures of Ben and his brothers.

That’s my niece, Harper, and sister-in-law, Allison. Can you believe Harper is only 2 years old?! Allison is 6 feet tall and Tom is 6’7″, so Harper is already growing like a weed!

Uncle Chris and Ben:

So Jesse is going to Mississippi State in August. I thought we taught him better.

Ben, his oldest brother, Sam, their daddy, Jesse and our nephew Jared (Sam’s son).

Beard brudders:

 Me and Jookie:

See my sister-in-law Lyn there with the gorgeous red mermaid hair? I’d really love if y’all could say a prayer for her. She’s not had a bite of solid food since September, when she was diagnosed with gastroparesis—a rare condition where your stomach becomes permanently paralyzed and stops working. She’s been living on broth, water, coffee and Ensure since then, but lately she’s not able to handle more than just the water and coffee without getting really sick. There isn’t a cure, but she’s undergoing some tests and and an upcoming experimental surgery in a few weeks that could improve her quality of life. There’s a 60% chance it will help her, so please please please—say a prayer for her. She’s growing weaker every day and has a family to care for, besides being a teacher, too.

  1. Love your dress! Looks so cool and fresh for summer.

I hope your sister-in-law gets some relief from her illness. Gastroparesis is a miserable condition.

  2. Erin, I stumbled upon your blog while pinning a beautiful photo of your home! When I read this blog post I couldn't believe when you mentioned your sister-in-law's medical condition. I also suffer from what Doctors *think* is Gastroparesis. I have never met anyone else with this condition. My heart goes out to your sister-in-law. I am undergoing many tests through a University Hospital and was wondering if maybe your sister in law would want to chat via email? perhaps we could share what our doctors are finding . . . or if nothing else, we could share how we cope and possibly some encouragement and hope? if she feels inclined, my email is [email protected] If not, just let her know she has one more person praying for her and her family!!!!
