#1,541 The Best Day Ever.

Psalm says: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

Yesterday was a no good very bad horrible awful day. We had a scare regarding my brother’s darling baby boy and the adoption. I woke up this morning and cried over this, my favorite piece of digital video in the whole world.

And then the lawyer called. And our fears were squashed. Adoption is a scary road. One day your worst fears are possible, the next day—the sun shines. God has His hand on our family, I’m absolutely sure. And yours too, in case you haven’t been considering that lately. He’s always there—even when you can’t possibly imagine why He would let you go through hell. I read once in Streams in the Desert: He puts his most precious metals into the hottest fires to strengthen them, and once he can scrape away the dross and see His face reflected in us, He removes us from the fire.
I feel like a million bucks today.
Also, we made an impulse purchase and now have a new painting of a champion race horse named Pie-O-My hanging in our dining room. I’ll give $5 and a bowl of chili to whomever recognizes it:
Impulse or not—it puts a smile on my face. And it’s a good conversation starter, I reckon.

  1. James Gandolfini in your dining room seems very appropriate! Good looking painting – where on earth did you find it??
You and your family are always in our thoughts and prayers.

    • Winner winner! I'm so impressed! You can find anything on the interwebs. 🙂 Thank you so much for your prayers. We really appreciate them.
