#1,340 Dentist Trip #1.

Last week, I scheduled teeth cleanings for Ben and I for September, and I’ll have my last wisdom tooth pulled then, too. Because all of my wisdom teeth have just come in like regular teeth. And I’m too scared for actual oral surgery. And my dentist is awesome and pulled them all and I never felt a thing. I heard some cracking and popping, but that’s manageable, right?

This week, Ben broke off half of one of his molars. He said it didn’t hurt, then he ate something cold and it turns out it did hurt. I moved his appointment up and this morning he got all fixed up by Dr. Lucas, a former youth mama. She and her husband have been our dentists since Ben worked in Oak Grove. Going to the dentist scares me to death, but when they make it so painless, it’s worth a blog. Ben swears he didn’t feel a thing.

No big.

It’ll be just as easy when I go, right?

And I think summer is winding down because today definitely, seriously, felt like the whisperings of fall were on the way. No humidity!

  1. You will think this is crazy, but I LOVE going to the dentist. It is actually one of my favorite things to do! I should have been a dentist….

  2. You shouldn't be scared of dental surgery. Yes, it involves some cracking and popping, but I assure you that the pain is manageable. You can always go for a painless procedure, and if that’s not enough, you can try sedation. And if you don’t like surgery at all, you can opt for noninvasive procedures. I hope you’ve found the right option.
